One year to go – Olympic Torch coming to the South East

One year from today the Olympic Torch relay will enter the South East beginning in Oxford on July 9th 2012.

key_torch.png8,000 inspirational people from around the UK will carry the Olympic Flame as it journeys across the UK. Nominated by someone they know, it will be their moment to shine, inspiring millions of people watching in their community, in the UK and worldwide.

The evening celebrations of the Olympic Torch Relay will feature a variety of entertainment and shows, each unique to the community putting on the event.

The host towns and cities are working on exactly what and where the celebrations will be and how best to involve local people, as well as welcoming people around the UK and the world to join the celebration in some way.
