The chief of General Electric's European business has joined a growing list of business leaders calling on Britain to stay in the European Union.
GE, whose Healthcare HQ is based in Amersham employing 1000 people, add their names to the list of major employers including Siemens, Hyundai and Nissan in warning of the dangers of Britain leaving the EU.
Ferdinando Beccalli-Falco, president and chief executive of GE Europe, told the Financial Times: "I really hope that England is not going to leave the European Union.
"It wouldn't be good for England; it wouldn't be good for Europe."
Catherine Bearder, Lib Dem MEP for Amersham, commented:
"The investment and jobs that our membership of the European Union provides is the main reason why I believe so passionately that we should stay IN the EU.
"Those that want to pull us out of Europe threaten millions of jobs across the country, including in Amersham.
