With just under a week left of this General Election campaign I wanted to thank you for all your hard work and make one final plea to you. What will win this election is money; the other parties have large donors, but the Liberal Democrats rely on having smaller donations from a number of members and supporters. If you are able to donate anything to the campaign, no matter how small, please do so at the button below.
We have a great, and different, leader in Jo Swinson and lots of really enthusiastic candidates too. They need all the support they can get in the final days of the campaign to give it one last push. A lot can happen in politics in 5 days!
So good luck to all the candidates, you are doing us all proud!
As you may have heard, I have stood down as Leader of the Liberal Democrat MEPs for health reasons. I have received so many concerned and touching messages and would like to thank you all for your kind words and reassure you that I will still be keeping on working hard as an MEP for the South East of England.
I am still fighting for elephants and pushing the new Commission to place a complete ban on EU ivory trade.
Whatever happens next week, I would like to wish you all a peaceful time with your families over Christmas.
