Junction 5 Campaign

Kent's Lib Dem Euro MP Catherine Bearder has given her support to the local campaign for slip roads at the M25's junction 5.

Last Monday Catherine met with local campaigners, including Parliamentary Candidate for Sevenoaks Alan Bullion, and was shown the busy interchange near Sevenoaks.

Catherine said, "the busy traffic on the M25 causes huge problems for local residents."

"Their towns and villages suffer from congestion, exhaust pollution and noise pollution."

" A careful design for new slip roads at junction 5 would help to reduce all of these problems . I want to help local communities to find the best solution to their road nightmare ."

"The M25 is a crucial part of the area's transport infrastructure, but we need to make sure any negative impact upon local communities is minimal."
