The students of Benenden School in Kent channelled their inner Jeremy Paxman last night as they grilled politicians in a question time style event.
Kent Lib Dem MEP, Catherine Bearder was joined by Nigel Farage MEP and Charlie Elphick, MP for Dover and Deal for a quizzing on topics ranging from the NHS, overseas aid, Britain's place in the EU, immigration, and the guests' political heroes.
Catherine Bearder said:
"The students gave us some great questions and it sparked a lively debate between the panel.
"I was glad we were asked about our membership of the EU as the risks faced by exit will affect young people more than anyone.
"This is the generation that really recognises the importance of Britain playing a leading role in the European Union."
One Benenden student who attended the debate described it as "enlightening and entertaining, the most effective way to encourage the younger generation to become politically active."
