Catherine Bearder has taken her tour promoting apprenticeships and jobs in the South East to Milton Keynes with a visit to their College of Further Education.
Catherine met with some of the 500 apprentices at the college in fields including youth work, sports science and engineering.
Since 2010, almost 5,000 young people have been given the opportunity of embarking on an apprenticeship scheme in Milton Keynes, a high percentage of those through the college.
Catherine said: "Apprenticeships are a brilliant way for young people to learn a trade and get the experience necessary for a successful career.
"Apprenticeships also allow us to build a stronger economy, with a highly-skilled and flexible workforce and these young people are a real benefit to the Milton Keynes local economy.
"Training on the job is sometimes much better than training in the classroom and I met some brilliant young people who were so passionate about the work they were doing."
